On a recent beautiful bright summer day Claire and I decided to have lunch at Bocanova. I like Bocanova for many reasons. The food is good, the menu and bar menu are interesting. The restaurant is beautiful and has a lovely large outdoor dining area which is perfect for gazing at the water on warm days. The staff is friendly and efficient. And Rick and Meredith the owners are gracious and welcoming. We arrived for a late lunch, around 2:00. I often find myself between meal periods and are thankful for the restaurants that serve all afternoon. On this day I had the Raspberry Lemonade and Claire had the Agua Fresca which was strawberry watermelon. I ordered the flat bread topped with fresh apricots, queso fresco, and chorizo, it was deeeelicious! Claire had the chicken enchiladas. The chicken had a good homey long cooked flavor and the green sauce had a kick.

I wish I could spend every lunch gazing at boats bobbing in the water while people bring me food and drink! What’s your favorite waterfront restaurant?
